Sorting Tagged Spam

Choose from an option below:

How do I sort tagged
messages in Outlook Express?

1)

Open Outlook Express
|

Click on the Tools menu, and then
click on Message rules, and then
Mail.
|

If this does not automatically
take you into the New Mail Rule
wizard, then click on New.
|
4)
|
In the first box, select the option for
"Where the Subject line contains
specific words".
|
5)
|
In the second box, select the option for
"Move it to the specified folder".
|
6)
|
In the third box, click on the
highlighted text of "contains
specific words",
and type in "***SPAM***" (without
the quotes), and then click on Add,
and
then OK.
|
7)
|
On the next line, click on the
highlighted text of "specified",
select the
Deleted Items folder (or any folder
of your choosing), and click on OK.
|
8)
|
In the fourth box, type in a name for the
mail rule, such as Spam Filter, and
then click on OK on the New Mail
Rule window, and then click on OK in
the
Message Rules window.

How do
I sort tagged messages in
Microsoft Outlook?

1)
|
Open Microsoft Outlook
|
2)
|
Highlight the Inbox, and
then click on the Tools menu, and
select Rules Wizard.
|
3)
|
In the Rules Wizard
window, click on New.
|
4)
|
Select the option for
"Check messages when they arrive",
and click Next.
|
5)
|
Select the option for
"...with specific words in the
subject".
|
6)
|
In the Rule description
box, click on the highlighted text
"specific
words". This will open a
Search Text window.
|
7)
|
Type in "***SPAM***"
(without the quotes), and click OK.
|
8)
|
Click Next in the Rules
wizard window.
|
9)
|
Select the option for
"move it to the specified folder"
|
10)
|
In the Rules Description"
box, click on the highlighted text
"specified
folder".
|
11)
|
Select the Deleted Items
folder (or folder of your choosing)
and click
OK.
|
12)
|
Click Next in the Rules
wizard window.
|
13)
|
Do not check anything in
the "add any exceptions" box, simply
click
Next.
|
14)
|
Type in a name for the
sort such as "Spam Filter", and
enable the
checkbox for "Turn on this sort",
and click Finish.

Click OK on the remaining
Rules Wizard window.

How do I
sort tagged messages
in Netscape Messenger?

1)
|
Open Netscape Messenger.
|
2)
|
Click on the Edit Menu, and
choose Message Filters, this will
open the Message Filters window.
|
3)
|
Click on New, and the Filter
Rules window will open.
|
4)
|
Change the Filter name to Spam
Filter.
|
5)
|
Select "subject" and select
"contains" in the next two boxes,
and type in ***SPAM*** in the following box.
The sentence should read as follows:
"the [subject] of the message [contains]
***SPAM***"
|
6)
|
On the next line, select "Move to
folder" and then select the "Trash"
folder (or the folder of your
choosing). The sentence should then
read as
follows: ". then [Move to folder]
[Trash].

7)
|
Optional - You may add a
description of this sort such as
"Spam tagged
by Xecunet"
|
8)
|
Click OK in the Filter Rules
window, and then click OK in the
Message
Filters Window.

How do I
sort tagged messages
in Eudora?
|
1)
|
Open Eudora.
|
2)
|
Click on the Tools Menu, and
choose Filters.
|
3)
|
Click on New, this will open the
sort options.
|
4)
|
Select the check box for
Incoming.
|
5)
|
Select "Subject:" from the Header
drop down menu.
|
6)
|
Select "Contains" from the next
drop down menu
|
7)
|
Type in "***SPAM***" (without the
quotes) in the text box.
|
8)
|
Make sure "ignore" is chosen in
the following dropdown box, as we
only do
not want to sort on any other
criteria.
|
9)
|
In the Action section, select
"Transfer to" in the first drop down
menu.
|
10)
|
Select the "Junk" folder (or
other folder of your choosing).
|
11)
|
Select "Skip Rest" in the next
drop down menu.
|
12)
|
Click on the File menu, and
chose Save. Once your changes have
been
saved you can close the Filter
window.
